The Position

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent customer service skills, and good IT skills (including use of MS Office) to join our dedicated team.

Duties to include: Office administration, overseeing services in the chapel and helping bereaved families to choose a memorial.

The successful applicant will be a flexible, well-motivated self-starter who possesses excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest level of service to the bereaved.

We are a rapidly expanding Company, having built or acquired three new crematoria in the last two years, with further plans for development in 2015 and beyond.

The Person

The ideal candidate will:

  • A good standard of education including a sound knowledge of Mathematics and English.
  • A caring and sympathetic nature to deal with the bereaved at a sensitive time.
  • A polite and pleasant telephone manner.
  • Experience of retail sales accompanied by excellent customer service skills.
  • A good knowledge of Windows based computer systems to ensure that all information is entered correctly on Epitaph (in-house system) for the proper recording of funeral and memorial details.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a sensitive, compassionate and confidential manner with the public, funeral directors and clergy, in person or on the telephone.
  • A flexible and approachable attitude to the needs of the public.
  • A flexible approach to team working hours.
  • An ability to work within a team to ensure that high standards of care are achieved.

Duties to include: Operation of the cremators, maintaining the memorial gardens, overseeing services in the chapel, and Office administration.

The successful applicant will be a flexible, well motivated self-starter who possesses excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest level of service to the bereaved.
