Crematorium Administrator

Charing Crematorium, Kent

Duties to include: data entry, record keeping, helping families to choose a memorial and overseeing services in the chapel.

The successful applicant will be a flexible, well motivated self-starter who possesses excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest level of service to the bereaved.

Full Time (40 hours per week).

Essential Skills Required

  • A good standard of education including a sound knowledge of Mathematics and English.
  • A caring and sympathetic nature to deal with the bereaved at a sensitive time.
  • A polite and pleasant telephone manner.
  • Experience of retail sales accompanied by excellent customer service skills.
  • A good knowledge of Windows based computer systems to ensure that all information is entered correctly on Epitaph (in-house system, full training would be provided) for the proper recording of funeral and memorial details.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a sensitive, compassionate and confidential manner with the public, funeral directors and clergy, in person or on the telephone.
  • A flexible and approachable attitude to the needs of the public.
  • Flexible approach to team working hours.
  • Ability to work within a team to ensure that high standards of care are achieved.

Duties to include: Administration, reception and general office routines.
Own transport is essential as the role will include some daily errands e.g. taking items to the post office (mileage would be paid).

Full Time Crematorium Assistant

Livingston, West Lothian

We specialise in providing well maintained, clean and comforting environments for mourners, clergy, funeral directors and staff, both within and outside the building. This includes landscaping the grounds to ensure that a natural and beautiful setting is provided throughout the year.

The Position

We are looking for a hands on, highly motivated individual with excellent customer service skills, and good IT skills (including use of MS Office) to join our dedicated team.

Duties to include: Operation of the cremators, maintaining the memorial gardens, overseeing services in the chapel, and some office administration.

The successful applicant will be a flexible, well motivated self-starter who possesses excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest level of service to the bereaved.

The Person

The ideal candidate will:
