Grounds Worker

Location: West Lothian.

Salary to be discussed
Fixed term contract until end of September (20 hours per week)

We specialise in providing well maintained, clean and comforting environments for mourners, clergy, funeral directors and staff, both within and outside the building. This includes landscaping the grounds to ensure that a natural and beautiful setting is provided throughout the year.

The Position

We are looking for a hands on, highly motivated individual with excellent customer service skills to join our dedicated team.

Duties to include: Maintaining the memorial gardens.

The successful applicant will be a flexible, well-motivated, self-starter who possesses excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest level of service to the bereaved.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Have experience of grounds maintenance.
  • Have experience of operating machinery.
  • A caring and sympathetic nature to deal with the bereaved at a sensitive time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a sensitive, compassionate and confidential manner with the public, funeral directors and clergy, in person or on the telephone.
  • A flexible approach to team working hours.
  • An ability to work within a team to ensure that high standards of care are achieved.

Cleaner

Location: West Wiltshire Crematorium

10 Hours per week (7.30-9.30am)

Are you a highly motivated cleaning operative that works to high standards?

We are looking for a cleaning operative to work at our site in West Wiltshire (near Semington) including but not limited to the office, toilets, chapel and crematory.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning to agreed standards throughout the site, covered by a cleaning schedule.
  • Ensuring all maintenance issues noticed during cleaning are reported to the Site Manager.
  • Complying with all health and safety regulations.

Previous experience of commercial cleaning would be an advantage.

South East Regional Manager

Location: Westerleigh, Bristol

Salary: Up to £50K

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Regional Manager to oversee five of our sites in the South East region who can offer creative flair, operational excellence, and commercial acumen that is committed to providing exceptional levels of customer service.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Have a proven track record of successfully overseeing the operations of multiple sites for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Be motivated by a passion for quality and customer service.

  • Experience working with performance management and improvement systems.
  • Experience in the recruitment process; interviewing, inducting and training new staff.
  • Experience producing monthly and annual reports.

  • Intermediate financial management skills to enable you to provide vision on overall financial health of sites.
  • Excellent proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective problem solving and mediation skills that enable you to cope efficiently with conflict, stress and crisis situations.
