Who are we?

Westerleigh Group are the leading independent developer and operator of Crematoria and Cemeteries in the UK. We pride ourselves on providing excellent facilities and exceptional levels of customer service.

We are a rapidly expanding Company, having built or acquired three new crematoria in the last two years, with further plans for development in 2015 and beyond.

The Position

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent customer service skills, and equally good IT skills (including use of MS Office) to join our dedicated team.

Duties to include: Office administration, overseeing services in the chapel and helping bereaved families to choose a memorial.

The successful applicant will be a flexible, well-motivated self-starter who possesses excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest level of service to the bereaved.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A good standard of education including a sound knowledge of Mathematics and English.
  • A caring and sympathetic nature to deal with the bereaved at a sensitive time.
  • A polite and pleasant telephone manner.
  • Experience of retail sales accompanied by excellent customer service skills.
  • A good knowledge of Windows based computer systems to ensure that all information is entered correctly on Bacchus (in-house system) for the proper recording of funeral and memorial details.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a sensitive, compassionate and confidential manner with the public, funeral directors and clergy, in person or on the telephone.
  • A flexible and approachable attitude to the needs of the public.
  • A flexible approach to team working hours.
  • An ability to work within a team to ensure that high standards of care are achieved.
