COVID-19 Update - Scotland & Wales
Supporting you with funeral care during the Covid-19 pandemic – Scotland and Wales
During this unprecedented time, our dedicated teams are working tirelessly to deliver funeral services as normally and as safely as possible to give your loved ones the dignity and respect they deserve.
We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional service that is uniquely personal, a standard we remain passionate about during this challenging time.
To protect the safety and wellbeing of the bereaved, our teams and funeral director colleagues, we are closely following government guidelines. Currently attendance for funeral services at our sites is limited and we ask you to please contact your local crematorium for the latest update on this.
In addition to this, following updates from the Government, face coverings or masks will be required to be worn at our Crematorium from Saturday 8th August 2020.
Those who do attend funeral services can be assured that we have the appropriate hygiene facilities in place and are helping attendees adhere to social distancing guidance.
For those not able to attend, including the vulnerable or elderly, we are able to arrange webcasting services and offer this at a significantly reduced rate, so friends and families can be a part of the service without leaving the safety of their home and we encourage you to speak with your funeral director to arrange this.
During this extraordinary time that we are all facing, we strive to work in close partnership with our local funeral director colleagues and families to ensure that your loved one gets the best possible funeral service whilst protecting the health and wellbeing of bereaved families and colleagues.
We understand that people want to visit our grounds and these are currently open for those who wish to tend to a grave or pay respects at a loved one’s memorial.
In line with the government guidelines, our offices, grounds and toilet facilities are open to the general public.
During the current lockdown period, our crematoria buildings remain open and we are therefore able to assist with ad-hoc queries. Please ensure that you telephone the Crematorium Office first to establish if a personal visit will be required.
Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time.
