Part Time Gatekeeper (Weekend)

Saturday and Sunday. Opening the site gates by 8.30am and locking up at the end of the day

£30 to open and close all of the gates per day so £60 for the weekend.

Forest Park Cemetery & Crematorium (London/Essex)

We have a rare opportunity for a Part Time Gatekeeper (Weekend) to open and close the gates for our Forest Park Cemetery & Crematorium sites.

You will only need to be available to open and close the gates over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), ensuring that they are all open by 8.30am and closed at the seasonal times below.

You do not need to do anything else at all and can leave as soon as the gates are opened / closed, it really is as simple as that!

Locations:

Saturday and Sunday (Winter Hours)

• St Mary’s Ilford – 08:30 – 16:30 (Saturday). 10:00 – 16:30 (Sunday).
• Barkingside Garden of Rest, Longwood Gardens, Barkingside IG5 0ET – 08:30 – 16:30 (Saturday). 10:00 – 16:30 (Sunday).
• Barkingside Cemetery, Longwood Gardens, Barkingside, IG5 0ET – 08:30 – 16:30 (Saturday). 10:00 – 16:30 (Sunday).
• Roding Lane North Cemetery, Woodford, Woodford Green, IG8 8LZ 08:30 – 16:30 (Saturday). 10:00 – 16:30 (Sunday).
• Forest Park Crematorium & Cemetery – Forest Road, Hainault, Essex, IG6 3HP – 08:30 – 17:30 (Saturday). 10:00 – 17:00 (Sunday)

About you

We are looking for someone who is

• Reliable and able to commit to doing this every week. You don’t need any experience but could suit someone who has been a caretaker before.
• Lives in the local area and has some form of transport to be able to get round to all the sites on time.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone local to the area to help ensure the Cemetery & Crematorium grounds are open for families and people to visit their loved ones and enjoy peace and reflection time on our grounds.
